The apprehension of the nature of consciousness requires the application of a certain minimum level of purity of consciousness.

Impurity of heart — manifesting itself in the reckless deception of others, or in the reckless misrepresentation of others to serve a contrived "greater good" — cosmically disqualifies the aspirant by rendering their consciousness blind to the true nature of consciousness itself.

There is no amount of scholarship or contrived authority sufficient to overcome this disqualification. The quest of an aspirant so disqualified becomes futile.

It is not an external disqualification, imposed by others who withhold esoteric wisdom on such grounds, but rather a direct causal consequence — an inevitable dysfunction within the aspirant’s own consciousness.

When an aspirant recklessly chooses moments of departure from cosmic harmony to serve some contrived, self-serving "good", that choice corrupts and diminishes the very energy of their own perceptual capacity, disabling not only their perception of consciousness, but also their ability to perceive, comprehend, or be aware of their own self-inflicted blindness.
